Cool show at the williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn. Fleet foxes sounded great even though there not my type of band. The walkmen were brilliant of course, looking smartly dressed, playing as the sun set on the water behind us. Beautiful view of Manhattan.

So as i type this im previewing the new album from The Rapture titled: "In The Grace Of Your Love". I want to try and articulate the feeling it is when you preview an album or that moment when you buy it and g to listen to it for the first time. Its ridiculous, its like Christmas morning, and its so rad. You dont know what to expect, you just know bits and bobs from skimming through 30 second samples of songs. I cant wait to buy this album. The Rapture are a band that i greatly admire and am a massive fan of. I remember the first time i heard of them, they performed House of Jealous Lovers on the David Letterman show....
Mind blowing. Epic disco - house drums with a cowbell playing maniac and a man playign this scratchy guitar with a shrieking voice. BOOM! punk funk, disco punk, whatever you wanna call it, its a new worldbeing thrown at me. So awesome.

So in conclusion this album is sounding like a barn burner. So glad that they released this under the DFA label once again. What has it been? 10 years since they were under the DFA, releasing Echoes? Damn. welcome back.

yeah i know, this is sort of beneath the clownfarmer to post, but ill be damened if it isnt a catchy ass tune. i must have heard it at least 10 times over the past 2 weeks on the weekends, while i was out partying. To be fair, it is european, and thus making it somewhat legit to post on this blog. The only decent partying songs you will hear when youre out fist pumping, are the tracks that dont come from this country. Case and point: "Stereo Love". Wow, fucking insane gig. Lcd played for 3+ hours, kicking out bangers left and right. Glowsticks were flying, I was caught in the front row in a sea of dancing and jumping maniacs. So sweaty and so rad. What an epic way to say farewell to the fans. People were pogoing and jumping and sort of moshing for hours and it was awesome. This is the band a year after Ian hung himself, creating a record that has elements of joy division , but with a look to the future. VIVA POST PUNK.
This is getting me psyched to see LCD Soundsystem, March 30th.
